I Love Laundry Day!

Laundry service is widely available in Lima.  It's fast, economical and EASY.  They charge by the kilo.  One medium sized load runs me about S/. 6.00 (nuevos soles), which is about $2.35 CAD - not too bad for washing, drying and folding!  The novelty wont't be wearing off on this one. 

The First Two Weeks

A summarized version of my first two weeks here.  I have toured the city a bit, checked out some of the historic sites and went to the beach!  The first two pictures are of the city centre - where the "Plaza Mayor"is located (ie: presidential palace and government buildings).  The beach is called, "El Silencio"- about one hour south of Lima.
